There are discussions of different types of broadband access and how to get connected. There are examples of hardware needed and discussions of tools such as scanners, digital cameras, fax services and storage devices.

There is extensive coverage of how technology has changed the mortgage lending, brokerage and appraising fields. Search engines and databases are covered in detail as well as how to keep updated through newsletters and listservs. There is ample information on how to take advantage of the Internet to find demographics, government and legal information, sales data, maps and people. Web sites are investigated including how they work and principles of good design.
